Mobile Viewing 2.0:
TERRATEC’s TV Sticks Now with Optional TV Streaming Software for the iPhone and iPad

Television is coming to the cell phone: TERRATEC is set to release a new software package from DVBLogic, provider of digital TV integration and connectivity solutions for its popular Cinergy and TV on the PC product lines. Including DVBLink TV Source and DVBLink Server Network Pack, this application affords access to the home computer from cell phones. The latest version 3.2 lets multiple mobile phones tap into the home PC to receive TV signals via Internet. At this time, the iPhone and iPad support video streaming. In addition, Blackberries as well as Android and Windows cell phones can access the TV offering to program the recording of broadcasts on the go. Starting in February, all digital TERRATEC TV solutions will come with a 20 day trial version of the software. For a discounted fee, users can activate the full version from within the software.

The new software is compatible with all Cinergy TV solutions and Premium TERRATEC products, to include DVB-C, DVB-S, and DVB-T offerings. Another key benefit is that the basic package DVBLink TVSource makes all TERRATEC DVB-C products such as the H7, H5, Cinergy HTC Stick, and Cinergy C PCI compatible with the MediaCenter. Beyond that, the application makes it so much easier to manage and sort stations, and offers an extended set of EPG functions. DVBLink is an end-to-end solution for TV programs on the PC and mobile devices. Featuring a virtual tuner, the software supports all TERRATEC TV tuner sticks, cards, and USB boxes, the electronic program guide (EPG), and IPTV programs. It is also compatible with nearly all Windows multimedia applications, including Windows Media Center, Media Center Extender (MCE), MediaPortal, and many more.

The optional DVBLink Server Network Pack distributes radio and TV programs from a DVBLink-enabled PC to further Windows computers, laptops, UPnP-enabled clients such as Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and mobile devices. Netbooks, laptops, other mobile devices, and now iPhone and iPad can access the home TV tuner on the go via a browser.
